Leona Sa-McDermott attended the April Foundation meeting to thank the Foundation for all the support given to Project Grad over the years. This year’s senior class has 274 students and the goal is to get 100% participation. This year part of the funds given to the event will go to cover registration fees for up to 10 students in need.
Project Grad is an overnight party for graduating seniors held right after the graduation exercises. It is organized by parents and a lot of volunteers. It is an alcohol and drug free event with food and refreshments available throughout the night. There will be live entertainment, craft activities, massage tables, picture taking and games and prizes. It is chaperoned by teachers, counselors, and parents of underclassmen so the seniors can relax with their classmates one last time before they embark on their life journeys.
