Coach Micah Mokuahi receives check from President Art Fjuita and Principal Danny Hamada

The Kapaa High School Paddling Team recived $1000 to cover cost of new paddles for the season.  According to Varsity Coach Micah Mokuahi, the steering paddles are one of the biggest annual purchases because they take a lot of wear and need constant maintenance and replacement.

According to Coach Mokuahi, some of the objectives of the Paddling team is to teach the paddlers  the sport of competitive paddling and  physical conditioning.  They also want the paddlers to learn about the cultural                                                                                                       significance of the Hawaiian canoe.
