Foundation President Art Fujita wishing  Board member Barbara Yamane a happy retirement

Barbara Yamane,  a long time Kapaa High School Foundation supporter and board member has moved to Rhode Island to be closer to her family.

After graduating from Kapaa High School, she attended University of Hawaii where she got her degree in Education.  She then  moved to the East Coast working as a school teacher until her retirement.  Upon moving back to Kauai, she was recruited by her high school classmate and Foundation President Art Fujita to serve on the board.

The Foundation would like to express our deep appreciation for her years of service.   Barbara brought a lot of energy to the Foundation Board with her passion for helping students, her cheerful disposition,  and with her organizing and communicating skills .
