The Kapaa High School Golf Team accepted a grant of $1200 from the Kapaa High School Foundation to help build up their  golf program.  The grant will pay for uniforms, golf bags, and supplies.

According to Coach Bob LeVoit, the team is young with a lot of first time golfers, but they are focused on learning the game. This year 25 students signed up to be on the team.   Their goal is to build a competitive program by establishing a viable off season training regimen.   LeVoit believes that “sports is an extension of the class room” where coaches can teach students about the “game of Life.”  They will be promoting learning, citizenship, sportsmanship, healthy lifestyles, character builiding, and everyday life skills.
