Community Based Instruction Program share pumpkin pies with Foundation board

Crystal Rowe of the Kapaa High School Special Education Community Based Instruction Program attended the Foundation’s January Board meeting to receive the 2nd half of a grant to purchase supplies for their classroom.  Ms. Rowe thanked the Foundation for the $1000 check and for the support throughout the years.  Their instructional program focus on teaching students practical skills, like how to plan and prepare nutritious meals,  how to do general housekeeping, and how to be involved in community affairs.  The goal in to teach these students basic life  skills to live independently and to function as productive adults.
