Ms Amy Uenten, Key Club Advisor, and Kalani Murakami, club officer attended the last meeting to thank the Foundation for the  grant of  $500 that they received to help defray some of their expenses of attending the State Key Club Convention that was held on Kauai.   As part of the Convention  the participants did a campus cleanup of  King Kaumualii Elementary School and sold snacks to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network.

Key Club is a service organization for high school students sponsored by the Kiwani Club.  Its objective is to develop initiative and leadership skills by serving the school and the community.  One of the ideals promoted in the club is to give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than just the material values of life.
