Kara Kitamura was named Top Educator of the Year for 2013 by Principal Daniel Hamada.
This award is given every year to a teacher or staff member of Kapaa High School who demonstrates a deep commitment to guiding and preparing our students for the challenges of tomorrow.
This recognition comes with a monetary award of $1000 provided by the Kapaa High School Foundation.
Kitamura graciously thanked the Principal and the Foundation for the award and noted the the money will be put to good use as she helps her daughter prepare for college.
