The Kapaa High School Foundation Golf Tournament held on July 6th at the Wailua Golf Course was a huge success.Co-chaired by Art Fujita, Brian Fujiuchi, Tad Miura, Jr., and Susan Hongiyo, the event received overwhelming support from a long list of generous donors, sponsors, and volunteers.
There were 124 golfers who enjoyed perfect golf weather for a very good cause. There was a luncheon held at the Kapaa Hongwanji Hall. First place with the lowest net score was the team of Fred Levinthol, Jet Levinthol, and Kawika Wellington. Helen Ebesu won the grand prize; a round trip to Las Vegas with 4 nights at Sam’s Town Hotel & Casino, a Gold Card for two.
The biggest winner of the tournament will be the students of Kapaa High School. The money raised will be used for Senior projects(including Project Grad), purchase of classroom and athletic equipment, Student Grants for Seniors, Outstanding Educator Award, and support of school organizations and events.
The Foundation would like to humbly thank all of the golfers, sponsors, donors, and volunteers for making the Golf Tournament a success.
