Foundation President Art Fujita accepts Grant from Glenn Hong, CEO of Young Brothers
Young Brothers and Hawaiian Tug and Barge gave a grant of $2,000 to the Kapaa High School Foundation at the end of 2012.
Glenn Hong, CEO of Young Brothers gave out $25,000 to 18 non-profits on Kauai . According to Hong, Young Brothers give the bulk of their donations to neighbor island non-profits. “You represent the grass roots effort to improve the quality of life on Kauai, and your work does not always get the attention that it deserves, and this is our way of acknowledging your efforts which you extend every day.”
Art Fujita gratefully accepted the grant and pledged to use it to improve the school campus. Fujita explained that “the project will involve students and will be geared to instill pride and civic responsibility in the school”.
