Ms. Nellie Okamoto, the senior class counselor attended the Kapaa High School Foundation board meeting last month to accept a $1700 grant to to cover lunch expenses for all scholarship recipients, parents, and representative organizations at the Kapaa High School Awards Assembly held on May 22nd.
This year over 100 senior students were recognized for receiving scholarships and awards for their achievements. The graduating class of 2018 has 274 students. They will have 41 valedictorians and 159 students with 3.0 and higher GPA. who will be recognized at the commencement exercises on May 25th., The students of this graduating class have applied for and received over $3.5 million dollars in scholarships .
