The Kapaa High School Foundation showed their support for the Athletic Department  with grants to purchase equipment.   The Canoe Paddling team received $1,300 to purchase new paddles.  Girls Volleyball got $1,100 to purchase  two new nets and two sets of antennas.  Athletic Department received  $4,400 to replace two aging ice machines.

Throughout the year  Athletic Director Greg Gonsalves, Paddling Coach Micha Mokuahi, Girls Volleyball Coach Evan Costa, Soccer Coach Kevin Cram,  Baseball Coach Bryan Aiwohi, and Football Coach Philip Rapozo,  attended Foundation meetings to present their requests and to thank the Foundation for the support.

We thank all of the coaches for their dedication to their teams.  We commend them for their efforts to not just make the students better athletes, but also better people.

In an update on the Fall season sports activities, Athletic Director Greg Gonsalves reported that the student athletes are doing really well.  With a new schedule of four classes per semester they get more credits per course because the classes are longer and focus on classwork has improved.

The Foundation would also like to thank the donors and volunteers who made the grants possible.
