At the September Board meeting the Kapaa High Foundation presented a check for $2,500 to Kapaa High School to support the campus beautification program now underway. In her proposal, Ms. Leila Kaneholani, School Administrative Services Assistant requested assistance in purchasing topsoil and plants to re-landscape the area around the administration building. Funds were also needed to purchase a used lawn rake, or grass thatcher to aerate the turf at the new softball stadium.
According to Paul Sousa, the process of aerating the turf at the softball stadium will also produce grass plugs that can be used to replant grass on the other parts of campus as needed.
