The buses, which were provided free of charge in previous years, came at cost in 2009. Without help from the Foundation, the unanticipated expense would have strained the program’s budget and resources, and potentially derailed an event designed to keep kids off the roads, and promote a safe, drug-and-alcohol-free night of celebration.
